The Youth of Bulgaria Is Meeting In Varna

The third national youth meeting “Youth employment” will take place in the Sunny Day Resort (near Varna) from June 9 to June 13 2010. The event is organized by Youth Society for Peace and Development of the Balkans and Varna Municipality cooperating with the Association for Support of the Academic Society and with the financial support of “Youth in Action” Program 2007 – 2013 and Sunny Day Co. The project is part of the Youth Employment Action, a transnational consortium of European Youth Forum Member Organisations in order to improve the position of young people in Europe with regards to their access to the labour market, enhancing their employability and making them aware of their working rights.
Being part of the consultation series based on one of the priorities of the EU Spanish presidency, the meeting is recognized as the most prestigious youth forum in Bulgaria.
The accent of the meeting is the youth employment and improving the situation of young people on the job market. Over 190 participants and guests will discuss youth entrepreneurship, career development, education, rights and obligations and youth policies referring to the employment. All these issues should be included in the national report of Bulgaria offering particular measures that should be undertaken.
Official guests of the event will be Petya Evtimova – Deputy Minister of Education, Youth and Science; Ivaylo Kalfin - member of the EU Parliament Intergroup on Youth; Finn Denstad – DG EAC of the European Commission; Xenia Constantinou – Vice President of the European Youth Forum; representatives of National Youth Councils of Spain, Croatia and Lithuania. Guests will be also other representatives of the most powerful European youth platform – European Youth Forum.
Representatives of Ministry of Education, Youth and Science and young people – initiators of the National Youth Forum, together with the European Youth Forum will discuss the elaboration of youth platform that will unite youth organizations in order to carry out effective youth policies.
In the end of the national meeting will be organized a National Youth Exhibition which will gather the most active youth NGOs in Bulgaria for the seventh time.For more information:
