European Youth Forum in Cooperation with YSPDB organize the Networking Days in Bulgaria.

The Networking Days (NDs) in Bulgaria is a country-specific event with the aim of providing support to establishment of National Youth Council in Bulgaria by motivating, supporting and assisting youth NGOs in Bulgaria to work on establishment of a National Youth Council.

This event will engage and foster the involvement of youth NGOs and other stakeholders in the process of networking of youth NGOs in Bulgaria.

The purpose of Networking Days is to explore situation of youth NGOs and their willingness for cooperation and networking that would lead to the establishment of a stronger national platform, but also to envisage the situation with youth policy and youth work development as well as the communication between responsible state institutions in charge of youth and youth NGOs.

Aims and Objectives

The main aims of the Networking Days are:

  • To facilitate networking process of youth NGOs in Bulgaria that would lead to establishment of NYC in Bulgaria
  • To facilitate and actively promote enhancements in cooperation between state institutions in charge of youth and youth NGOs
  • To share knowledge, experience, skills in the field of youth policy and youth work development to provide support to youth NGOs in Bulgaria
  • To obtain as much information as possible on the recent situation of youth policy and youth work development in the country
  • To promote active cooperation of youth NGOs at the level of SEE region

Objectives:

  1. To enhance cooperation with youth NGOs in the country
  2. To get overview on the developments and the level of networking between youth NGOs in Bulgaria and their willingness to create stronger national platform
  3. To improve cooperation with the state institutions in charge of youth and international foundations in order to explore their eagerness to provide support to the networking processes in Bulgaria
  4. To develop a report with concrete recommendations that will serve as a solid basis for the YFJ strategy to support national youth policy and youth work development in Bulgaria
  5. To publish and spread the  report to the YFJ MOs, participants and other partners in the region of SEE
  6. Based on the outcomes of NDs, to develop YFJ strategy to support the national youth policy  and youth work development  in Bulgaria.

BULGARIAN YOUTH NGOs MAY APLY BY SENDING THE APPLICATION FORM TO THE EUROPEAN YOUTH FORUM SECRETARIAT.

Participation in the meeting

Only participants nominated by a youth organisation from Bulgaria can apply through this call and take part in the event.

The Call for participants from YFJ Member Organisation is launched separately and Bulgarian youth NGOs who are members of YFJ Member Organisations are encouraged to apply  through this separate Call. To receive this Call for participants, please contact

Profile of participants

All participants must comply with the following criteria:

  • Be aged between 18-35
  • Living in Bulgaria
  • Have experience in the youth work and youth policy development in Bulgaria
  • Be committed to take active part in the whole activity
  • Have a good command of the English language

Selection procedure

Youth organisations should send in their nomination forms to the European Youth Forum Secretariat, to the attention of Drazen Puljic, drazen.puljic@youthforum.org  fax: +32 2 230 21 23.

Should more nominations be received than places available, we will aim to compose a group with a fair, gender balanced representation of the types of organisation in the European Youth Forum’s membership, taking into account the motivation and experience of the nominees with regard to the above-mentioned criteria.

Other technical details

  • Date and place of the meeting: the meeting will take place in Hisar Bulgaria, starting on 11 March at 19h00, ending on 14 March at 14h00
  • Travel, accommodation and meals: travel will be fully reimbursed by the YFJ upon receipt of documentation of expenses, according to existing financial guidelines. Participants are expected to arrive in the evening of 11 March and leave 14 March after lunch. For all participants 3 nights’ accommodation will be provided. Dinners and lunches during the event are going to be provided.
  • Agenda of the meeting: will be sent to participants ahead of the meeting
  • Language of the meeting: English
