YSPDB represents Bulgaria on the meeting
of the Anticorruption Student network
in Tirana 07 - 08.11.2009November 17, 2009
The Anticorruption Student network held its consecutive meeting in Tirana, Albania on November 7th and 8th 2009. Within these 2 days the partners were discussing the progress of the project so far and drawing the plan for the future activities of the network. The representatives from the six partner countries presented their Interim Technical Reports for the past 6 months, commenting the difficulties they had faced and the results they had achieved.
The main topics that were discussed at the meeting were directly connected with the various ways of corruption in the Higher Education System in Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova and Serbia. The priority topic for the next semester of the project is elaborating a methodology for defining the phenomenon of bribing at universities.
Students from HEI in Armenia also attended the ACSN meeting to gain knowledge and experience. They presented the higher education system in their country pointing out the similarities and the distinctive features of the problems they face.
The next meeting is planned to be organized in Croatia in the second half of April 2010.
