Schools in Plovdiv join forces for the 17th of November

This year, for the first time school student representatives from all of the high schools in Plovdiv are going to gather in order to lead one constructive dialogue named “The youth and the transition”, celebrating at the same time 20 years since the fall of the communistic regime in Bulgaria and 70 years since the first time 17th of November was celebrated as the International Students day.
During the days of 16th, 17th and 18th of November different high schools are going to host round tables, discussions and a series of meeting, where students would have the chance to meet people who have actually participated in the processes, such as militants, active members of non governmental organizations, students who have taken participation in the strikes, journalist and photographers and many others citizens, who have stated their opinion in various ways.
On the exact day of the 17th of November there is going to be a symbolic action, so that the youngest victims of the regime could be honored.
YSPDB representative is also going to take participation in a conference the Organizing Bureau of School Student Union (OBESSU) is organizing in Brussels, Belgium from the 16th to the 18th of November. For more information on the initiative, please visit www.17november.eu
