On 20th March 2007 European Youth Forum announced the selected members of the next Youth Work Development Working Group.

European Youth Forum announced the new Youth York Development working group. The goal of the Working Group is to develop strategic proposals for the European Youth Forum Bureau in the areas of youth work and policy development.
The composition of the Working Group, which will be chaired by Tamuna KEKENADZE, Member of the Youth Forum Bureau, and co-ordinated by Tanya BASARAB, Youth Work Development Project Manager from the Youth Forum secretariat is:
- Effie GAVRIEL (DEMYC)
- Vesselin ILIEV (EBCO)
- Peter LENCO (RMS)
- Diana TAMM (ENL)
- Vaggelis MONOGUIOS (AEGEE Europe)
- Vera TURCANU (CNTM)
The objectives of the Working Group on Youth Work Development are to:
- Act as a think tank and build expertise on youth work development in different regions, especially in the areas of Central and Eastern Europe, and South East Europe - identified as priority regions in the 2007-2008 Work Plan;
- Assist the Bureau in the implementation of the Work Plan of the Youth Forum in the following areas:
- Development of expertise on national youth legislation and promotion of supportive national youth legislation;
- Support the consolidation of National Youth Councils in countries where these structures do not exist;
- Support the independence and promote the recognition of non-governmental youth work;
- Identify obstacles to youth work development and propose solutions;
- Build knowledge on the challenges to national youth work and policy development in Europe;
- Plan and prepare support for the Bureau in relation to the involvement of the European Youth Forum and its Member Organisations in developing youth work in Europe;
- Plan and prepare support for the Bureau in relation to the involvement of the European Youth Forum and its Member Organisations in developing youth work in Europe
